Oban and Argyll Renowned as 'Gateway to the Isles' with ferry access to the isles of Lismore, Mull, Coll, Staffa, Tiree and Colonsay, Oban offers a wide variety of day tips to the Inner Hebrides. Iona Abbey was founded by St Columba who brought Christianity to Scotland, whilst Staffa has the famous Fingal's Cave immortalised in Mendelssohn's overture.
Inland from Oban there are direct touring links to Fort William and Glencoe, Crianlarich, Pitlochry, Tarbert, Campbeltown and Dunoon.
